Generation 1: Chapter 5
FINALLY! I have been waiting just as long as you guys have to put out this chapter. And let me tell you, it was extremely frustrating, delay after delay after huge delay. It seemed like whenever I sat down to work something would come up. But enough of my whining, you guys have waited long enough, you definitely deserve this chapter.
————————————————————————————————————–
You know whats going on? You guessed it, more birthdays. Plus I got a hair cut!
When you have a large family like we do you have birthdays nearly every two months! This month it was the triplets, Rio, Red, and Pomegranate’s birthday and they were all turning three. It is strange how even though they are triplets they are all unique. They like all toddlers are ADORABLE!!!
And his brother Red, it was at that time I realized that their striking white hair must have come from somewhere on my side. I am so proud. But with recent renovations, we were going rather… for a lack of better description, totally broke. What with the recent arrival of Rio, Red and another unnamed individual that showed up on our doorstep yesterday, Spicey and I barely got any time to paint.
Lets just say I got more than expected when I went to get the newspaper. There was no note but I understood. It was unsigned but it didn’t take a genius to know who it was from. So I took the kid inside, and after a short discussion with Spicy, we decided to name him Melonberry. But guilt started to gnaw on my insides, this also meant I would have to tell Dewdrop the truth. I suddenly wished I had never lied to her. This was not going to be pleasant.
“Honey Dew.” I don’t want to do this! I don’t want to!
“What is it?” She sighed. Her voice was oddly hushed.
“Honey, um, Can I talk to you for a second?” I took a deep breath and said the words I dreaded, “Honey, I think you’re mature enough now, that I can tell you the truth. You’re real name is Dewdrop Honey Sours, Spicy is really you’re uncle.” I never felt more terrible about telling the truth. All she seemed to be able to do was look at me. What followed after was probably the most sickening silence ever. I knew if this was any other girl, they would have burst into tears, but Dewdrop wasn’t just any girl, but I couldn’t say her reaction didn’t surprise me.
“They were right…” She said simply, without looking at me. I don’t know what came over me, but I couldn’t seem to string words together.
“The girls at school, when I told them my last name was Smoothie, they laughed, and told me there was no way a rotten Sours, could be related to a Smoothie.” Her voice shook slightly when she said ‘rotten’, and I could see her eyes welling up with the tears I thought would never come. “They told me I defaced the noble name of General Smoothie.”
I was rooted to the spot, at the mention of my father. She couldn’t seem to handle it any more and she ran to her room wailing, and slammed the door, leaving me in shock. How could I have not noticed she was being bullied at school? It seemed way to obvious now. And knowing that didn’t make me feel any better. I walked to her door and knocked softly.
“Honey Dew, can I come in?” I said, gently, hoping the use of her nick name would help. That seemed to do the trick, because a muffled sound, I took for a yes came from inside. I took a deep breath and opened the door.
Dewdrop, was lying in bed with her face in a pillow. “Dew, can you sit up while I talk to you?” I asked.
She got up, rubbed her eyes with the back of her hand, and sniffled a little bit, although I could tell she was trying to hide it. “Honey Dew.” I said again. “Being a Sour doesn’t automatically make you nasty. I personally think you are the exact opposite. Do you trust me enough to know I’m telling the truth?”
“Then why, didn’t my real mom and dad want me.” She said looking away.
“Honey, look at me,” I said trying to catch her eyes, I was about to say, “You’re mom and dad were bad people.” But I stopped to think about the note and reconsidered, “You’re dad was a manipulating person, but your mom, I know she has good somewhere in her, she just… made a lot of bad decisions.”
“Y- you really think s-so?” She looked at me hopefully.
“Dew, I don’t just think so, I know so.” I smiled at her and she hugged me. I could tell she was still crying, but I knew it was for a different reason. “Now why don’t you come and see you’re real brother?”
“You mean… I’m not the only one?!” She said hopefully. I nodded “He’s upstairs in the nursery.” I know I said this before but Dewdrop will be a really good big sister, for real this time.
“Thanks for everything m- I mean Auntie Nilla!” And she ran out of the room, smiling with every step, as she passed through the door I saw Spicy coming towards me. He looked kind of torn.
“What is it Spicey?”
“I have some bad news and good news.” He said. “Good news, I’ve gotten a well paying position abroad in Shang Stir-Fry for about two years. The company is paying for my flight and accommodation.”
“Well that’s good.” I replied, truly releived.
“Bad news,” He looked at the floor, “I talked to my boss, their not willing to pay for all of us to come. Especially with a family our size…” My mouth went dry.
“I can handle it.” No you can’t. A nasty voice in my head said.
“I know its difficult ‘Nilla, but its all we can do, we still need to pay off our debt.” He sighed. “Trust me honey, when I come back, our life will be more that two times better than it is now.”
“I know. I’m just not sure how I’m going to handle this all alone.” I rested my head on his shoulders and cried. Not because of the stress, not because there would be no one to help with the kids, but because I knew I would not be able to handle the emptiness of his absence.

DUN Dun dun. Sudden serious chapter! Sorry, there’s no pictures of toddler Rio and Pomegranate, my game started crashing just today. Pictures will be coming soon when I next update this chapter.
Well This is Kinda Embarrassing…
Haha well, I don’t even know where to start. Its like that awkward kinda feeling like when you were supposed to call someone and you say, “Yeah I call you soon.” and then life happens and suddenly its two months later and you bump into that person and they say “Hey, why didn’t you call, it was wto months ago why didn’t you call?” and you start to search for a suitable response. Yeah. Awkward… Well as as you probably know there was the unfortunate event of my hard drive crashing then here comes the embarrassing part, I got myself banned from the computer for about a month or more, you really can’t tell how long when you’ve been disconnected so long. And you know why? I was missing a couple homework assignments XD. Yeah… The only hard part about making chapter 5 now is remaking everything!!!! When I say everything I mean like, downloading back all of my custom content (did that before I was banned, took me forever), and remaking all of the characters and everything as best as I can. I’ve already written the story part long ago but before I could take pictures I was banned. And I am still banned just I’m using the computer when they go out (Shhhh!). That’s the only reason I was able to post this. And plus I’m sincerely sorry to everyone who has been thinking I have stopped writing this story, because I am definitely not going to stop writing!! But I am hoping that since it’s spring break now I will be able to use the computer again (cross your fingers!). Thank you for your patience (If you still have any left!) I will get to work taking pictures as soon as I can!
I Smell Smoke…
Unfortunately due to some, uhhh unfortunate technical difficulties… ex. the hard drive of the only computer that can handle the sims 3 has crashed thus resulting in loss of most story material and the burning up of the motherboard, but the good news is that I have a external hard drive that has backed up everything up to what I have done last week. Bad news, no chapter for you guys, for awhile (equaling until, my dad finds a hard drive on sale, which may not be for a while…) even though I have most of my files, I don’t have a computer that can run the sims 3 decently (meaning that I can’t get decent quality photos.) But on a lighter note, the results of my poll are in! Keeping the Sour kids in it has won by a whopping 40%! Thanks to those who voted making my decision, much easier to make. Its just to bad I can’t make a chapter…
A Poll About a Poll!
I’m having kind of a bit of a dilema! So everyone here know that Dewdrop really isn’t part of the family although she is still related to them, but here is were things get a teensy bit difficult. I want to do an heir poll soon because Dewdrop is going to be a teen soon, but I’m not sure if she should count as an heir candidate seeing is she really isn’t a Smoothie . Should I skip her or should I count her? I’m going to leave it to you guys, vote here! The poll will only be open until 11/27/10, 3:00PM Pacific Standard Time. That being said, please go vote! I would like to know so I can make know how many new chapters until an heir vote. it will atleast be three or four more of Vanilla then its heir time!
Generation1: Chapter 4
I can’t believe it! I got a lot of time to work on the story this week, because homework has been quite slack for me lately!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Berry, time flies! It was already Dewdrop’s birthday, and I couldn’t believe it, Dewdrop was turning from a tot to a school aged child right before our eyes.
However, things were not all sunshine and lollipops that day. We… Um had a little accident with the birthday cake and…
yeah… But not to worry, we were all okay Spiceberry and the kids got out fine and nothing was damaged. But we didn’t get any cake…
so now dewdrop has turned into a fine young lady, she didn’t quite like the hair do that much, and that’s why she wasn’t to happy.
“Mooooom! That lady messed up my hair!”
“Hun, you look fine.” But she still insisted on hiding it in a ponytail.
That day I also realized that I was once again pregnant. Spiceberry is hoping for a boy, I guess he just had enough of a household mostly dominated by the girls. His reaction was identical.
Yep, absolutely identical. A room full of people making ridiculous faces. Aaanywaaays, the next day, was ANOTHER birthday. Raspberry was going to turn three already! And I must say she is absolutely adorable!!
She looks a lot like her dad, yet she has my eyes and paler red skin. I’m just glad I showed through at all! The only thing that threw a damper on our hapiness that week was, we found out that, hateful Cherry Sours was also pregnant. I don’t know how we are going to be able to save the child, because all of her children were an accident.
Ras has been making progress on her talking, she is quite the chatterbox! One night I was telling her she was going to have a little sibling and,
“Mamie, faat.”
“No hun, its a little baby momy is going to have a baby, just like you sweetums, your going to be a big sister.”
“Big sistaw?”
“Mm Hm.” She looked very excited. She is going to be a good big sister.
When I told Dewdrop, she looked very excited about the idea of being the biggest sister, so excited that after wards she ran to her room to start thinking of names for the baby. Not like she actually is going to be the baby’s real big sister but I didn’t want to break the poor girls heart.
Soon it was even Dewdrops first day of school, she got so hipped up about it she was bouncing around the kitchen around half an hour before her bus came. She looked so adorable running out the door to the school bus.
We were just finishing redoing the whole house, when I went into labor. The panic spread fast throughout the house pretty soon every one began to panick.
and Spicy and Dewdrop went absolutely nuts they were screaming so much it could shatter glass!
“Spicy I need to get to the hospital, NOW!”
“But who’s going to watch Ras!? Dewdrop! You stay here and take care of Ras!”
“EEK, but dad!! I’m only six!!!”
So we eventually got to the hospital safely while Dewdrop and Raspberry were being watched by Julip, a sweet lady, who lived right across the street from us.
Rio and,
Red, and Pomegranate were born not long after that.
_______________________________________________________________________
Update! (FROM THE FUTURE!) Er, while restarting from scratch, a, um very rare continuity error came up, which is very unfixable. You guessed it, while Nilla was pregnant with what were supposed to be only twins, I frantically watched a tonne of kids tv and listened to a lot of kids radio. I think I over did it because BAM the next thing I knew I had triplets… Thus the lack of a picture of Pomegranate (The extra baby)… This is going to be um interesting….
Generation 1: Chapter 3
Spiceberry had been working late until around nine o’clock, because the gallery was having a late night exhibition, with painters using only neon and glow paint, and whatever. I couldn’t help but tap my feet and watch the clock. I had already tried watching a television program but I couldn’t pay attention, I was trying to think of what I would say to him, or how I would possibly present the idea of me having his child.
I could tell by the way he walked straight into our bedroom, that he had a long day at the gallery, I almost felt bad for putting more stress on him with an impending baby and what not. Now I can tell you one thing, It took a lot of courage to follow him in to the bedroom before I gave myself a chance to rethink my action.
He was in his PJs just about to get into bed, and when I rushed into the bedroom he smiled. “By the look on your face Nilla I’d say the house was on fire! Whats wrong?” He turned to face me.
Okay, now I was never an expert at hiding my expressions, so I bet I had the most utterly ridiculous expression on my face when I blurted it out, “Spicy, I’m pregnant!!!!” The look on his face was just to funny. If it wasn’t a really serious moment I would have been rolling on the floor I would be laughing so hard. For the next moment or so it was just silence and ridiculous faces. At least he looked happy.
“O my berry!!! I’M GOING TO BE A DAD?!” Okay maybe “happy” was a huge understatement. I swear that if there were little people in his head they would have been literally bouncing off the walls. Once he settled down a little bit, tried to speak again, “Nilla, I think it only right that, that I give you a surprise of my own. I’ve been saving it for quite a while.”
He reached under his pillow and pulled out a- DIAMOND RING?! Okay, by now I freaking right the berry out! I could feel my heart just pounding, and my face turned red as Spicy. “Vanilla Sweetberry Smoothie, will you marry me?” Now it was my turn to do the gaping. “YES!!! O BERRY YES!!!!” I screamed, he took no time to slide the ring on my finger. I could almost feel the love in the air when I kissed him hard.
The next nine months were crazy, they went by in a whirl wind of wedding planning, weird cravings, and baby room preparation. And for the record it looked AMAZING! Our baby wasn’t the only one that would need the room but it had to be big enough to accommodate Dewdrop who was moving in now that we were engaged.
We were not paying attention when we accidentally planned our wedding around my due date. After all we were just to busy to pay attention to the little things. Before we knew it, it was already wedding day, and my belly was looking bigger than ever. The guests streamed in to our night wedding at an alarming rate. It all went perfectly except unfortunately the Sours decided it was their duty to come to our wedding. I was kind of afraid Cherry would do something horrible to Dewdrop, our flower girl, as we were walking down the isle I was glad all Cherry and her husband Zucchini did was glance at her and sniff with disgust.
It was an amazing moment, when he slid the final ring on my finger, I could feel the salty ocean wind on my skin. The guests were all clapping and throwing rice which rained over top of us.
The suddenness of the pain made me double over in pain, I was screaming so much I didn’t notice Spiceberry frantically call for a taxi.
I was going into labour. And naturally the guests went nuts, and started screaming along with me. The taxi ride to the hospital seemed to take forever, and all I could hear was Spiceberry sitting beside me, trying to calm me down. Not like it was working.
And that was when Raspberry Ice Smoothie was born.
Generation 1: Chapter 2
Sure enough there he stood cute grin and all, right there on the sidewalk smiling as if there were no tomorrow. It had to be him after all the times we’d talked on our webcams his face was unmistakable. For years he was my only friend, we watched each other grow up through pixels, and let puppy love turn to real love. He was there when no one else was and he loved me the best he could through the internet and there he was, for the first time, not on a computer screen.
I couldn’t hold myself back, and I rushed towards him and leaped straight into his arms as if the past ten years never happened and we were still primary school friends. “Imissedyousomuch!!!” I said with tears of joy running down my face.”So did I Nil.” He whispered back.
He set me down, and did something that shocked me to the core, he kissed me for the very first time, and then I knew for sure he was still mine. My heart did a little leap and cartwheel, I was so happy I could scream! It was hard to describe how I really felt that night. But my smile faltered, instead of smiling back at me he frowned.
“I love you Nil, so there is something you should know about the girl that calls herself ‘Cherry Cottoncandy’” He said his expression suddenly hardening. “Why Spicy? Isn’t she your sister I mean she has your last name.” I said confused by his sudden hard expression.
“She was, but last year she married a bitter man named Zucchini Sours and she changed into a hateful Sours, camouflaging as her sweet old self to get inside of peoples hearts and in turn abused them in a way no one else could. Last year they had a daughter, her name is Dewdrop, she was horribly abused and neglected. On her first birthday I rescued her from them and took her under my wing.” He explained. “I just want you to know that if we ever end up together, that she should be treated as one of the family.”
I almost didn’t believe that he could be so mean until she remembered what she had said to me earlier, “Don’t ever wonder what happened to your families fortune?” It had seemed so innocent back then but now I was starting to wonder if it was more than a sympathetic remark. “But hey,” He said,”lighten up, the Sours are the only family here that you should worry about, the rest of the people here are all sugar sweet nice.” “Thanks Spicy, I’m sure she will be welcomed.” I said, relieved that he wasn’t psycho, because I’ve seen to much psycho in my life… “You want me to walk you home? Its getting late, and I wouldn’t want anything to happen to my sweet Nil.” He said actually worried for me. “Sure, Spicy, your right.” I said kissing him on the cheek.
We walked all the way to my house holding hands. The deserted streets of Sugar Valley didn’t seem so alien with Spiceberry beside me gripping my hand and responding to whatever I said with genuine understanding. The truth was we loved each other and there was no mistaking it. We stood under the street light in front of my house and he was about to say good-bye, “You don’t have to leave…” I whispered in his ear.
“I love, you Nilla…”
“I love you to.” I answered.
The days passed quickly and we drew closer and closer together with each minute, making our relationship official . I knew it was only a matter of time until he would pop the big question.
Then the sickness began. For days, I felt so nauseous until one day…
… it hit me… I knew I had to see the doctor.
Then came the results in the mail, I took a good look at them and-
“Oh, no…”
